WYND TREE
This project was a privately commissioned work by clients in Vancouver, Canada.
The basalt rock column supports a bronze wind swept tree not unlike those hanging onto the mountaintops of the Rocky Mountains that form the background of the sculpture nearby.
The tree also references the dead or dying trees that play host to migrating and resident eagles that make their homes in the tree-tops.
The sculpture is a representation on a personal-scale, of the surrounding and overwhelming landscape
allowing the viewer to reflect on their place within it.
